Bhopal, July 25, 2026: A disturbing discovery of severed cattle remains in the Nishatpura police station area of Madhya Pradesh's capital, Bhopal, on Friday has ignited widespread anger among local residents and Hindu organizations. The remains were found near a chicken shop on 80 Feet Road, close to the Bhopal Memorial Hospital, creating a tense situation in the area.
Protests Erupt Over Heinous Act
As news of the incident spread, a large number of local citizens and activists from Hindu nationalist organizations converged on the scene. They staged a protest, demanding stringent action against those responsible for the brutal act. Eyewitnesses reported that the police and personnel from the Karond Mandi police post were immediately alerted to the presence of cattle remains on the roadside during the afternoon.
Police Launch Investigation, Organizations Demand Arrests
The police swiftly secured the crime scene, collected evidence, and took possession of the remains to begin their investigation. Members of the Bajrang Dal and Vishva Hindu Parishad, outraged by the incident, surrounded the Karond Mandi police post. They emphasized that such acts are a deliberate attempt to disrupt social harmony and called for swift legal action against the perpetrators.

Police have registered a case against unknown individuals under various sections of the Indian Penal Code, including the Madhya Pradesh Prohibition of Cow Slaughter Act and other relevant legislation.
