Nationwide Preparations for 'Cow Respect Call Campaign' Second Phase Complete

Preparations across the country are finalized for the second phase of the 'Cow Respect Call Campaign,' dedicated to the safety, service, and respect of cattle. On the upcoming July 27, 2026, millions of citizens from all districts will submit prayer letters bearing their signatures to the Hon'ble President, Prime Minister, Governors, and Chief Ministers of respective states through their District Magistrates.

This phase of the campaign aims to present a memorandum to the government with a target of over 15 crore signatures. The campaign is being conducted with more than 30 key demands, including the enactment of a central law to prohibit cow slaughter, granting 'Nation Mother' status to cows, freeing grazing lands from encroachment, establishing a Central Ministry for Cows, and integrating cow-centric national policies with agriculture, medicine, environment, education, and human life.

First Phase Success and Rationale for Second Phase

The first phase of this campaign concluded on April 27, 2026, during which over 5 crore citizens' signed prayer letters were submitted to the government from approximately 5,000 tehsils across the country. Public awareness for the demands has been ongoing for the past six months, led by saints, cow volunteers, and cow devotees nationwide under the 'Cow Respect Call Campaign.'

During this period, an extensive public awareness campaign was conducted emphasizing the importance of cattle conservation and promotion. Various schools, including Girls Inter College, Modern College, Divine Public School, Saraswati Vidya Mandir, and Sharda Public School in Balrampur, also saw district in-charges of the cow protection campaign, including Ravindra Gupta Kamalapuri and Dr. Rakesh Chandra Srivastava, along with Subir Srivastava, Sparsh Srivastava, and the district president of the Youth Association, raising awareness among students about respecting cattle and conducting a signature drive.

Second Phase as a Reminder: Increased Signature Target

According to campaign officials, due to the lack of expected decisions on the demands submitted in the first phase, the prayer letters will be resent on July 27 as a reminder under the second phase. This time, the target is to increase the number of signatures to over 15 crore, which will be a significant testament to public sentiment towards cattle.

Detailed Action Plan for July 27 in Balrampur

All preparations for the program in the Balrampur district on July 27 have been completed. District in-charge Ravindra Gupta Kamalapuri stated that the program will commence at 8 AM with the auspicious worship of Mother Cow and the blowing of conch shells, followed by a collective chanting of the victory mantra 'Shri Ram Jai Ram Jai Jai Ram' until 9:15 AM. Thereafter, all devotees will proceed from Hanuman Garhi Temple, Veer Vinay Chauraha, at 10:30 AM as a peaceful and disciplined prayer procession towards the District Magistrate's office.

The procession will feature flags, banners, placards with campaign messages, and bhajan-kirtan. Upon reaching the District Magistrate's office, prayer letters and memoranda will be handed over to the government through the District Magistrate, led by saints, the district executive committee, representatives of social and religious organizations, and distinguished citizens. Citizens have been humbly urged to participate in this 'Maha Yagna' in large numbers, arrive at the venue on time in traditional attire, and help make this campaign for the service, safety, and respect of Mother Cow a success.
