Controll: Rohit Roy and Thakur Anoop Singh Lead Cyber-Crime Thriller Releasing October 10

In an age where cyber frauds, data leaks, and online scams have become part of everyday life, the upcoming film Controll aims to spotlight the dark side of the digital world. Starring Rohit Roy and Thakur Anoop Singh, the cyber-crime thriller is inspired by real-life incidents and is set for a theatrical release on October 10, 2025.

Directed by Safdar Abaas and produced by Dhaval Gada and Abhay Sinha, Controll is presented by Dr. Jayantilal Gada’s Pen Studios, a banner known for backing impactful stories. The supporting cast features Priya Anand, Yashpal Sharma, Rajesh Sharma, Karan Singh Chhabra, and Siddharth Banerjee, among others. The makers unveiled the official poster today, with the trailer set to drop tomorrow.

Carrying the striking tagline “Your Data is Their Weapon,” the film promises a gripping narrative around the vulnerabilities of technology-driven lives.

For Thakur Anoop Singh, Controll marks his first time portraying an Army officer on screen. Speaking about his role, he said:

“The word ‘Control’ signifies power in our film. My character is the eldest son of the family—vulnerable, caring, yet fierce in protecting loved ones. The complexity makes it unique and special for me, and audiences will see me play an Army officer for the first time.”

Rohit Bose Roy, who co-headlines the film, is a well-known face in Indian entertainment. He rose to fame with TV serials such as Des Mein Niklla Hoga Chand and Swabhimaan, and later made his mark in films like Kaabil, Ek Khiladi Ek Haseena, Apartment, and Plan. He was also seen as gang member Fattu in the acclaimed crime drama Shootout at Lokhandwala.

Beyond acting, Roy has explored directing with the short film Rice Plate (part of the anthology Dus Kahaniyaan) and even ventured into fashion by launching his label “Rohit Roy for Styched” in 2020.

With its timely theme and stellar cast, Controll promises to be a thought-provoking watch, blending real-world issues with cinematic thrill.
