Indore on Sunday reported the 28th death caused by contaminated drinking water, as 75-year-old retired teacher Rajaram Borasi passed away during treatment. Borasi, a resident of Bhagirathpura, also served as a Congress ward president.

Family members said Borasi fell seriously ill on Friday after consuming polluted water. His condition worsened rapidly, and despite treatment, he died on Sunday.

Authorities are repairing damaged pipelines in the affected area, but residents continue to express fear as more cases emerge.
