Congress Stages Unique Protest Against Inflation: Car on Handcart, Demands Divine Intervention

Congress's Symbolic Protest Against Soaring Inflation

In a unique and symbolic protest against rising inflation during the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government's tenure in Madhya Pradesh, the Congress party staged a demonstration in the Naryavali assembly constituency. The party highlighted the economic burden on the common populace by placing a motorcycle, gas cylinder, and other essential commodities on a handcart, amplifying their voices.

The objective of this demonstration was to draw the government's attention to the public's difficulties and to motivate them to take steps to curb inflation. This protest was organized as part of a statewide call by the Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee. The Block Congress Committees of Naryavali, Sagar Rural, Makronia, and Sadar Cantt jointly registered this unique protest at the block headquarters of Naryavali, Sadar, Karrapur, and Makronia intersections.

During the protest, Congress members also visited the shrine of Shri Sankat Mochan to pray for divine wisdom for the BJP government. The protestors raised slogans against the escalating prices of food items, household goods, electricity, petrol-diesel, and other daily necessities.

Former Minister Slams BJP Policies Amidst Economic Hardship

Former Minister of Madhya Pradesh Government and chief guest of the program, Surendra Choudhary, strongly criticized the BJP government's policies in his address. He stated that the burden of inflation on the common public is continuously increasing due to the government's policies. From the kitchen to transportation, every sector is forcing the common man to spend significantly more from their pockets.

Choudhary assured that the Congress will continue to forcefully raise the voice of the common man, from the streets to the parliament, and will persist in its struggle for public interest issues. He demanded that the government immediately take concrete steps in the public interest.

Inflation Deeply Affects Poor and Middle-Class Families

Expressing concern, Shivpal Yadav, President of the Naryavali Block Congress Committee, stated that inflation has broken the back of poor and middle-class families. The household budget has been completely disrupted, making it difficult to manage a household. He urged the government to take concrete steps to provide relief to the common public.

Pushpendra Singh Thakur, President of the Sagar Rural Block Congress Committee, highlighted the problems faced by farmers. He noted that farmers are not receiving fair prices for their produce, while simultaneously, the costs of fertilizers, seeds, diesel, and other agricultural inputs are continuously rising. According to Thakur, rural families, who are already facing economic distress, are bearing the brunt of inflation.

Rising Prices of Daily Necessities Cause Widespread Distress

Devendra Kurmi, President of the Makronia Block Congress Committee, said that the continuous increase in the prices of daily necessity items is troubling every section of society. He accused the government of failing to address the public's problems and stated that the Congress's struggle against inflation will continue unabated.

Pandit Ravi Umahiya, President of the Sadar Cantt Block Congress Committee, remarked that inflation has become the biggest concern for every family today. He advised the government to move beyond statistics and claims and observe the actual problems faced by the common man in the market. Umahiya affirmed that the Congress stands with the public and will continue to raise its voice against inflation.
