An alleged rape incident involving a nine-year-old school student in Dhanoli village, Mehgaon assembly constituency of Bhind district, Madhya Pradesh, has sent shockwaves across the region. The serious crime has led the Congress party to raise sharp questions about law and order and the safety of girls under the Bharatiya Janata Party government.

Congress Meets Victim's Family, Pledges Support

A delegation of Congress leaders and workers, led by District President of Rural Congress Committee, Ram Shesh Baghel, met with the victim's family. They expressed deep condolences to the grieving family and assured them of Congress's full support in their fight for justice. Baghel stated that such incidents involving young girls are extremely concerning and shake the entire society.

Demand for Swift Action Against Accused

While confirming the arrest of the accused by the police, Congress leaders demanded a swift and impartial investigation into the case. They emphasized that strict legal action must be ensured against the accused to facilitate speedy justice for the victim's family. Ram Shesh Baghel urged the state's Chief Minister to prioritize the safety of women and girls in the state and take concrete steps for effective crime control.

Baghel stated, "It is essential that criminals fear the law and a sense of security is strengthened among ordinary citizens."

Congress Alleges Collapse of Law and Order

Baghel alleged that "daughters are not safe under the BJP government and the law and order has completely collapsed." He reiterated the Congress party's commitment to raising its voice against injustice and standing with the victim's family. He clarified that any compromise on the safety, dignity, and justice for daughters would not be tolerated, underscoring that their safety is paramount.
