Hyderabad: The Congress registered a commanding victory in the Jubilee Hills Assembly byelection, with party candidate Naveen Yadav securing a decisive margin of 24,729 votes over his nearest rival. Yadav secured 98,988 votes out of 1,94,631 total votes polled on November 11. His closest challenger, Maganti Sunitha of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), finished with 74,259 votes, while BJP’s Lankala Deepak Reddy received 17,061 votes. Both BRS and BJP representatives left the counting centre before the final declaration of results.
