Congress National Secretary and AICC Observer Ramkishan Ojha visited Gram Panchayat Sheikhupur Jakholi in the Badhpura development block of Etawah district on Sunday. Amidst heavy rains, he inspected the village's waterlogged roads and listened to the villagers' concerns.
During his visit, Ojha assured the villagers that he would spearhead efforts to secure the construction of an overbridge in the area from the central government. He pledged to consistently raise this issue with the central government until it is resolved. This visit was a significant step towards highlighting and addressing the serious problems faced by Gram Panchayat Sheikhupur Jakholi.
Several other senior Congress officials accompanied Ojha, maintaining a keen focus on local issues. Social worker Deepak Raj mentioned that the delegation included PCC Observer Prakash Pradhan, Haryana Pradesh Congress Committee General Secretary Kuldeep Vashisht, District President Ashutosh Dixit, former City President Pallav Dubey, District General Secretary Ambuj Tripathi, District Spokesperson Prerna Zuberi, Spokesperson Vachaspati Dwivedi, City General Secretary Avnish Verma, senior journalist Moinuddin Zuberi, and District Secretary Nilesh Tiwari. Together, these leaders understood the villagers' suffering and resolved to find solutions.
Waterlogging and Blocked Roads Plague Sheikhupur Jakholi
Waterlogging is a severe problem in Sheikhupur Jakholi Gram Panchayat, frequently causing its roads to become impassable. The situation worsens during the monsoon season, disrupting the daily lives of the villagers. National Secretary Ramkishan Ojha personally inspected these issues firsthand.
He observed the flood-affected routes, understood the severity of the problem, and directly communicated with the villagers to grasp their plight. During this interaction, he urged the villagers to remain patient and assured them of all possible assistance. Ojha emphasized that a permanent solution to this problem lies in the construction of an overbridge and pledged to vigorously pursue this matter at the central government level.
He promised to continuously raise the issue with the central government until the construction of the overbridge begins.
Assurance Given on Demand for a New Development Block
During his meeting with the villagers, General Secretary Ramkishan Ojha also extensively discussed another significant local issue: the ongoing struggle for the 'Mission Ikdill Block' concerning the establishment of a new development block. This demand is crucial for the region's development and has been a long-standing request from the local population.
Ojha gathered detailed information from the villagers regarding this demand and collected all necessary documents. He assured the villagers that he would convey this demand to the central government and make every effort for the construction of the new development block. He stated that every Congress member in Etawah district is fully committed to resolving these issues and will always be ready to address them.
Throughout the visit, affected villagers accompanied the National Secretary, elaborating on their numerous difficulties. Ojha expressed his sympathy and reassured them of a resolution.
