Mahoba Schools Celebrate Gandhi and Shastri Birth Anniversaries with Competitions

The birth anniversaries of the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi, and former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri were enthusiastically celebrated at the Dr. Ambedkar Schools located in Gram Richha, within the Charkhari and Kulpahar regions of Mahoba district. To mark the occasion, the free schools, organized under the aegis of the Ambedkar Pathshala Shiksha Seva Foundation, hosted essay, speech, and poetry competitions for students, along with a special seminar.

The main event, held in Khandiya, Charkhari, was graced by Supreme Court advocate Seema Patnaaha Rajput as the chief guest. She emphasized the importance of education, sanitation, truth, and non-violence, urging students to dedicate themselves to the nation's welfare. Advocate Patnaaha recalled Gandhiji's contributions to Satyagraha and the Quit India Movement, and described Lal Bahadur Shastri's 'Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan' slogan as a symbol of the country's unity and progress. She inspired the youth to embody the ideals of these great personalities in their lives.

Meritorious Students Honored with Prizes

The results of the competitions held at the Charkhari school were announced. In the speech competition, Khushboo secured first place, followed by Ichha in second and Sandhya in third. Ragini topped the essay writing competition, while Chhaya and Himanshi secured second and third positions respectively. Savitri, Naman, and Umashankar delivered the best performances in the poetry competition. All these meritorious students were awarded educational materials and exam pads.

Tributes Paid at Gram Richha

A seminar was also organized at the school in Gram Richha, Kulpahar. Prominent attendees included Rameshwar Prasad Vishwakarma, Manju Pathak, Bharti, and Mahendra Kumar from a social service organization. Students shared their thoughts on the life philosophies and struggles of the great leaders. Local teachers and workers played a crucial role in making these events a success.

The primary objective of these programs was to educate children in rural areas about the sacrifices and moral values of the nation's great leaders, thereby inspiring them.
