Commercial LPG Cylinder Prices Surge Ahead of Festive Season
Commercial LPG cylinder prices have seen a significant increase across India starting October 1, impacting businesses as the festive season begins.

As India steps into its vibrant festive season, businesses are facing an immediate financial challenge with the commencement of increased prices for 19-kg commercial LPG cylinders from October 1. The hikes are not uniform, varying considerably across major cities and impacting operational costs for numerous establishments.
In the national capital, Delhi, the price of a 19-kg commercial LPG cylinder has jumped by Rs 62.50. This brings the new cost to Rs 2,810, a noticeable rise from the September price of Rs 2,747.50, according to rates sourced from IndianOil.
Price Hikes Vary by City
The increase has been more pronounced in other metropolitan areas. Mumbai has seen a surge of Rs 63, pushing the cylinder price from Rs 2,701 to Rs 2,764. In Chennai, the increment is even steeper, with prices climbing by Rs 66.50, from Rs 2,916.50 to Rs 2,983.
The city of Patna recorded the highest increase among the cited locations. Here, the 19-kg commercial cylinder has become Rs 71.50 more expensive, with prices escalating from Rs 3,029 to Rs 3,100.50. In Lucknow, the price hike stands at Rs 62.50, setting the new price at Rs 2,932.50.
Impact Across Other Regions
The upward trend in commercial LPG prices is being observed across various other regions of the country as well. In Leh, the cost of a commercial cylinder has risen to Rs 3,450, an increase from Rs 3,385.50. Similarly, Tawang is now seeing prices at Rs 3,073.50.
Further south, in Ahmedabad, the new price for a 19-kg commercial LPG cylinder is Rs 2,831.50. Consumers in Kanyakumari are now paying Rs 3,046 for the same cylinder.
