Administrative Activity in Lahar Villages
As part of the 'Jan Vishwas Abhiyan' (Public Trust Campaign), administrative action was observed in the Lahar development block of Bhind district. On Friday, Collector Pawan Kumar Jain made a surprise visit to the villages of Machhand and Imlaha to assess the ground reality.
During his visit, the Collector engaged in direct dialogue with villagers, listening to their concerns and thoroughly reviewing the implementation status of various government schemes. He expressed dissatisfaction with the progress of land registries under the Swamitva Yojana (Ownership Scheme).
Directives Issued for Scheme Implementation
The Collector instructed the Patwaris (village revenue officials) to establish better coordination with Secretaries and Gram Rozgar Sahayaks (GRS) to complete the remaining tasks in a time-bound manner. He emphasized giving special priority to this work to ensure villagers receive their land ownership rights promptly.
Review of Insurance and Pension Distribution
Expanding the scope of social security, Collector Pawan Kumar Jain shared information with villagers about the Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (Prime Minister's Life Insurance Scheme) and the Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Suraksha Bima Yojana (Prime Minister's Life Security Insurance Scheme). He urged citizens to enroll in these vital insurance schemes to secure financial protection in case of unforeseen events.
Additionally, he reviewed the lists for old-age pensions, widow pensions, and social security pensions, as well as ration distribution, with the Panchayat Secretary. The Collector issued clear directives to ensure that the benefits of these schemes reach eligible beneficiaries without interruption.
Strict Orders for Encroachment Removal
Demonstrating administrative strictness, the Collector ordered the Sub-Divisional Officer (SDM) of Lahar to immediately remove encroachments from government land and grazing land. He warned that any leniency in this regard would not be tolerated.
During this surprise inspection, other departmental officials, including the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the District Panchayat, Veer Singh Chauhan, and SDM Pradeep Mishra, were also present. This proactive approach by the administration is expected to accelerate development works and the implementation of government schemes at the local level.
