CMO Inspects Gauri Sarovar, Discovers Liquor Bottles
The Municipal Administration in Bhind city has taken strict measures regarding the cleanliness and security arrangements around Gauri Sarovar, a prestigious public and tourist spot. On Wednesday afternoon, around 3:30 PM, Chief Municipal Officer (CMO) Virendra Chakravarti conducted an unscheduled inspection of the area.
During the inspection, empty liquor quarters were found in a garbage bin near Ahimsa Park, leading to his strong displeasure. He severely reprimanded the staff present at the scene. Gauri Sarovar is not only a major religious center for the city but also a significant tourist destination, attracting a large number of devotees and citizens daily for prayers and relaxation.
Illegal Kiosk and Stern Directives Issued
The discovery of empty liquor bottles near such a sacred and peaceful location raises serious questions about public order and local monitoring. As soon as the CMO noticed the bottles in the trash bin, he immediately took cognizance of the matter and demanded an explanation from the sanitation workers present regarding this serious negligence.
Considering the gravity of the situation, Virendra Chakravarti issued clear instructions to the sanitation supervisor of the concerned area to immediately remove the illegal kiosk from the spot. This incident once again highlights the necessity of controlling illegally operating kiosks and suspicious establishments around public and religious sites.
Ensuring a Clean and Secure Environment
The Municipal Administration now faces the significant challenge of effectively implementing these strict directives and maintaining regular surveillance and a close watch over the Gauri Sarovar area. The administration's main objective is to ensure that citizens and devotees visiting Gauri Sarovar are provided with a clean, safe, and sacred environment.
Officials emphasized that the number of surprise inspections in the relevant areas will be increased to prevent the recurrence of such incidents in the future. Local residents have welcomed the administration's swift and decisive action and expressed hope that more stringent security measures will now be adopted to preserve the dignity and sanctity of Gauri Sarovar.
The Municipal Administration has clarified that strict punitive action will continue against elements found littering in public places and promoting anti-social activities in the future. The department has made cleanliness standards one of its top priorities and is committed to maintaining them.
