CM Yogi: Partition wouldn't have happened if Congress stood firm, millions of Hindus could have been saved if Modi was PM then

Yogi Adityanath's Remarks on Partition and Leadership

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath stated that the partition of India could have been avoided if Congress had maintained a firm stance in 1947. He further suggested that if a leader like Narendra Modi had been Prime Minister at that time, the massacre of millions of Hindus could have been prevented.

These statements were made during a memorial event organized at the Digambar Akhara to commemorate the 23rd death anniversary of Paramhans Ramchandra Das Ji Maharaj. The Chief Minister also recalled Paramhans Ramchandra Das's contribution to the Ram Mandir movement, vowing to confront those who betray Lord Ram until the end.

Homage to Paramhans Ramchandra Das

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, on behalf of the Uttar Pradesh government and all devotees of Ram in the state, paid humble tribute to Paramhans Ramchandra Das. He highlighted that the life of the revered Maharaj was dedicated to the goal of constructing a grand temple for Lord Shri Ram.

From 1949 until his demise, Maharaj's entire life was devoted to the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi movement. The Chief Minister emphasized that history is not merely for reading or exams but also for inspiration and lessons. He stated that historical moments evoke pride and provide motivation to move forward, while neglecting history means repeating past mistakes.

CM's Comments on Historical Partition and Security

The Chief Minister remarked that if Congress had been resolute in 1947, the country's partition might not have occurred. He also suggested that if determined Prime Ministers like Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel or Narendra Modi had been in power then, the massacre of millions of Hindus could have been averted.

Shri Adityanath also touched upon issues like the abrogation of Article 370 and the elimination of Maoism and Naxalism within the country, which he attributed to the failures of Congress governments, seeing them as 'sources of income' and tools for destabilizing the nation.

He lauded the current global image of India, stating that Indian citizens are now respected abroad, a stark contrast to the UPA government's tenure. He noted that during that period, there was no discussion of Sanatan Dharma, and the construction of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, Kashi Vishwanath Dham in Kashi, and the beautification of Mathura-Vrindavan were not possible.

The Chief Minister also referenced a statement by a Samajwadi Party leader, who allegedly said that if their party came to power, they would install statues of Kansa, followed by a mention of his subsequent demise.

Historical Destruction and Present Situation in Sambhal

Yogi Adityanath stated that in 1526, approximately 500 years ago, the Shri Harihar Temple in Sambhal was demolished to erect a 'structure of slavery'. He posited that if a unified resistance had occurred in Sambhal at that time, the audacity to damage Shri Ram Janmabhoomi in Ayodhya in 1528 would not have arisen.

He lamented that within a mere two years, the temple of Lord Shri Ram in Ayodhya was damaged, and a structure of slavery was erected, disrespecting the followers of Sanatan Dharma. On August 14, 1947, the day before independence, not only Hindus and Sikhs were killed, but India was also partitioned.

The Chief Minister mentioned the ongoing killings of innocent Hindus in Pakistan and Bangladesh, criticizing some Indian politicians for remaining silent on those events while raising alarms over every incident within the country. He questioned the accountability for the events of August 14, 1947, and targeted Congress, stating they were only concerned with power, not the people of the country. He asserted that the situation remains the same today, with changed names and faces but the same modus operandi.

Riots and Withdrawal of Cases during SP Government

Describing the situation in Sambhal, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said it was not fit to live in, and despite being a district for nearly 30 years, its headquarters had not been established. He revealed that when a team went for a survey on court orders, riots ensued, targeting policemen and innocent Hindus. He stated that no year had passed since 1947 without riots there.

The Chief Minister alleged that in 1976 and 1978, riots were so severe that 150 Hindus were murdered simultaneously. He accused the then Samajwadi Party government in 1996 of shamelessly withdrawing all cases, resulting in no one being punished. He termed this a mass massacre in independent India.

The Chief Minister informed that in 2024, rioters in Sambhal were identified and action was taken, bringing the situation under control. Investigations revealed that not only the Harihar Temple but also 67 pilgrimage sites, 19 wells, and 10,000 acres of land had been illegally occupied in Sambhal, which have now been reclaimed. This land is now being allocated to the poor, Dalits, and weaker sections of society. The construction of the district headquarters is also underway there.

Chief Minister Adityanath stated that Sambhal has changed; riots no longer occur, and an atmosphere of peace and harmony prevails.

Transformed Ayodhya and Ram Mandir Issues

Yogi Adityanath said that in the past, Ayodhya was even deprived of festivals. It was synonymous with narrow lanes and filth. The ghats, Ram Ki Paidi, and the water of the Saryu River were polluted, forcing devotees to bathe in it.

He stated that today's transformed Ayodhya is reminiscent of the Treta Yuga. The saints here are no longer mocked globally; instead, people offer them full respect upon hearing the name Ayodhya. He acknowledged that the struggle of the saints during the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi movement was unimaginable.

He warned that those who ordered firing on Ram devotees and argued against the Ram Janmabhoomi movement in the Supreme Court are now plotting again. He referenced the incident of alleged theft of offerings at Shri Ram Janmabhoomi, for which an SIT was formed and criminals were apprehended.

The Chief Minister commented that those who once argued extensively against Shri Ram Janmabhoomi are now trying to portray themselves as devotees of Ram. He expressed regret over the theft incident, noting that action has been taken. However, he stated that those who oppose Ram are engaged in insulting Ayodhya Dham, Shri Ram Janmabhoomi, and Sanatan Dharma, and are trying to spoil the atmosphere in the country.

He urged everyone to be vigilant about this. He asserted that this fight is going to be long, and those intoxicated by power will not remain silent. The Chief Minister declared, "We will deal with anyone who betrays Ram until our last breath and will confront them with full force." He concluded that only then would the tribute to the memory of the revered Paramhans Ramchandra Das Ji Maharaj on his death anniversary be meaningful.
