Honoring and Empowering Village Sentinels

A special event was organized on Tuesday to honor the village sentinels who play a vital role in strengthening law and order and controlling crime in Uttar Pradesh. On this occasion, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath established direct virtual communication with approximately sixty-eight thousand village sentinels from across the state.

The Chief Minister's address was broadcast live at the Reserve Police Line in Mahoba, where District Magistrate Prabhas Kumar, Superintendent of Police Shashank Singh, local representatives, police officials, and a large number of village sentinels were present. All attendees listened attentively to the Chief Minister's views and reiterated their commitment to rural security.

Focus on Strengthening Rural Security

The primary objective of this event is to further strengthen law and order in rural areas and enhance the effectiveness of village sentinels. During the Chief Minister's interaction, special emphasis was placed on establishing better coordination between the police and the rural community, maintaining peace in villages, and keeping a close watch on suspicious activities.

Village sentinels serve as an extremely important link for the police department in rural areas. Their role is crucial in timely conveying any suspicious activity, criminal incident, or other important information occurring in villages to the police. This program not only appreciated the dedication of the village sentinels but also sent a clear message to further strengthen the security system in rural areas.

This initiative could prove to be a significant step towards crime control in the future.
