The Citizen's Justice Platform (CJP) has welcomed the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, hailing it as a significant victory for democratic principles. In a statement released via its official X handle, CJP confirmed its demands list had been updated to reflect Pradhan's departure. While the demand for the Union Education Minister's resignation has been marked as resolved, three other key demands are still pending. These include a compensation of Rs 1 crore for the families of students who died by suicide, the withdrawal of all punitive actions against student protesters, and a public apology from the Rapid Action Force (RAF) and Delhi Police.

Protest Continues Despite Minister's Resignation

Addressing reporters and demonstrators gathered at Jantar Mantar shortly after the resignation announcement, CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke described the development as a testament to the power of collective action. "We have done it! Dharmendra Pradhan has resigned," Dipke stated. He countered skepticism about the possibility of such an outcome under the current government, declaring, "We say the world does bow down; it just needs the right people to make it happen."

Dipke asserted that the agitation would not cease until all remaining demands are met. Protesters at Jantar Mantar and supporters nationwide are keenly awaiting the fulfilment of these outstanding requests.
