'Zero Waste' Initiative During Eid Miladunnabi Procession

On the sacred occasion of Eid Miladunnabi, the Municipal Council (Napa) in Narmadapuram conducted a unique and effective cleanliness drive as part of its 'Zero Waste Event' program. The primary objective of this campaign was to maintain the city's cleanliness while celebrating the festive spirit.

A special sanitation vehicle followed the procession throughout the event. This vehicle was tasked with the immediate removal of waste generated during the procession, such as remnants from floral tributes, plastic items, wrappers, and other discarded materials.

The initiative strongly emphasized the 'Zero Waste' principle, focusing on minimizing waste generation and ensuring proper management of the waste that was produced.

Special Efforts Under 'Swachh Bharat'

Anurag Tiwari, the nodal officer for the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, stated that this special cleanliness campaign was implemented across the entire city under the directives of Napa President Neetu Mahendra Yadav and Chief Municipal Officer Vaibhav Deshmukh.

Keeping the 'Zero Waste Event' in mind, special attention was given to the route of the Eid Miladunnabi procession. As the procession advanced, sanitation workers and their associated vehicles followed closely, ensuring no waste was left on the streets.

Members of the Muslim community also provided significant support for this campaign, helping to ensure the city remained clean during the festive celebrations. Officials highlighted that this collaborative effort demonstrated a collective sense of responsibility towards the city's cleanliness.

Personnel Involved in Arrangements

Several individuals played a commendable role in the smooth execution of this special cleanliness campaign. Notable contributions came from Vishal Sharma, Satish Yadav, Ramsingh Yadav, Anand Kewat, Rajesh Lutare, Sanjay Lutare, and the encroachment removal team including Sheikh Sikandar and Satish Raghuwanshi.

Their tireless efforts ensured the immediate clearing of the procession route, helping to maintain the dignified atmosphere of the festival.
