Chief Minister's Health Fair: Over 150 Patients Receive Free Treatment, Seasonal Illnesses Prevail

Free Health Services Reach Rural Communities

In an initiative to improve healthcare accessibility in rural areas, Chief Minister's Health Fairs were organized across several health sub-centres in Mahooba district on Sunday, August 16, 2026. A total of over 150 patients received health check-ups, free medicines, and medical consultations at the Ajner, Khama, and Akouna health sub-centres.

The fairs were conducted under the direction of Chief Medical Officer Dr. Vinay Kumar and the supervision of the Superintendent of Community Health Centre Jaitpur, Dr. P.K. Singh. This endeavor aimed to make health services more accessible to residents in remote villages.

Dedicated Medical Teams Provide Care

At the Ajner Arogya Hospital, a team led by Dr. Ramkumar, along with ANM Neetu, Staff Nurse Bhagwati, Shailendra Dwivedi, and Arun, treated 47 patients. Lab Technician Shailendra Dwivedi conducted tests for 5 patients.

Similarly, the health sub-centre at Khama saw 52 patients examined and provided with necessary medications by a team comprising Dr. Prem Narayan Sharma, Dr. J.P. Pastore, Dr. Shailendra Singh, and Staff Nurse Kiran.

The Akouna health sub-centre also provided treatment to 51 patients, offering significant relief to the local populace. These organized events are proving to be instrumental in extending vital healthcare to underserved populations.

Seasonal Illnesses Dominate Health Concerns

A notable observation during these health fairs was the high number of patients presenting with seasonal illnesses. Medical professionals advised attendees to maintain hygiene, consume boiled or purified water, adopt a balanced diet, and take precautions according to the weather changes.

Doctors emphasized the importance of timely health check-ups and appropriate treatment for effectively preventing most seasonal ailments. The Chief Minister's Health Fairs are a government effort to bring healthcare services to even the most remote areas.
