Chhatarpur city is taking a crucial step towards becoming greener with the Municipal Council, Chhatarpur, planting 515 saplings in Ward number 36 under the state government's 'Amrit Harit Abhiyan'. This tree-planting drive, held near the Sanjeevani Clinic, aims to expand the city's green cover, promote environmental conservation, and inspire citizens to plant and protect more trees.

Campaign Inauguration and Participation

The campaign was inaugurated by the Chairperson of the Municipal Council, Smt. Jyoti Surendra Chaurasia, who personally planted a sapling. She was joined by key officials including Executive Engineer Shri Devendra Dhakad, Sub-Engineer Shri Ankit Arjariya, Sub-Engineer Shri Gokul Prajapati, ward councilors, and municipal employees, injecting new momentum into the initiative.

Community Involvement in Environmental Protection

A total of 515 saplings of various species were planted during the community participation program for environmental conservation, which will contribute to the city's greenery in the future. Local children also enthusiastically participated in the sapling plantation, sending a powerful message for environmental protection and pledging to care for the planted saplings.

Officials present emphasized that tree plantation is not just about planting but also about ensuring their protection and regular care, which must be prioritized. They stated that the Municipal Council is organizing similar extensive plantation programs in various wards and public spaces under the 'Amrit Harit Abhiyan' to make Chhatarpur a greener, cleaner, and more environment-friendly city. Citizens were urged to plant and protect more trees, fulfilling slogans like 'One Tree in Mother's Name – Increase Greenery, Save Environment'.
