Chhappan Bhog and Mah Aarti Held at Ancient Karni Mata Temple
On the fifth day of Navratri, the ancient Shri Karni Mata Temple in Narsinghgarh hosted the offering of Chhappan Bhog (56 types of food offerings) to Goddess Karni, followed by a Mah Aarti. The event, organized by the Karni Sena family, saw a large turnout of devotees.
The Chhappan Bhog was dedicated to the feet of Goddess Karni at 6 PM on October 15, 2026. The Mah Aarti commenced at 7 PM, with devotees participating with great reverence. Following the Aarti, the blessed Chhappan Bhog Prasad was distributed among hundreds of devotees present.
A Confluence of Devotion at the Historic Temple
This ancient Shri Karni Mata Temple in Narsinghgarh was established in 1940 by Shrimant Maharaj Vikram Singh Ji during the princely era. It is considered one of the world's most ancient Karni Mata temples, situated in Narsinghgarh, often referred to as the 'Kashmir of Malwa'.
For local residents, this temple is as significant as the one in Deshnok for receiving blessings from Goddess Karni, attracting devotees with heartfelt wishes and deep faith.
Launch of Cold Water Service for Public Welfare
On this occasion, the Karni Sena furthered its commitment to public service by launching a cold water service. Previously, 20 water campers were announced for water service during the month of Shravan, and these have now been formally integrated into service.
This free water service will be available for Shiva devotees and pilgrims participating in various religious events such as processions, Shobha Yatras, Shiv Barat, and Kanwar Yatras. Additionally, the Rajput community's various social programs will also benefit from this service.
This welfare initiative is being managed by the Karni Sena family under the guidance of Jeevan Singh Sherpur, the district Rajgarh team leader. The objective is to provide readily accessible cold water to devotees in the region during periods of intense heat and large gatherings.
The program held at the temple premises was made successful by the presence of Karni soldiers and a large number of devotees of Mata Rani.
