Actor Celina Jaitly has filed a domestic violence complaint against her husband, Peter Haag, in a local court, alleging sustained emotional, physical, sexual, and verbal abuse. The matter came up for hearing on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, before Judicial Magistrate S. C. Tadye, who issued a notice to Haag and scheduled the next hearing for December 12, 2025.
The 47-year-old actor, represented by Karanjwala & Co law firm, accused her husband of domestic violence, cruelty, and manipulation under the Domestic Violence Act. She claims she was forced to leave her home in Austria and return to India due to the abuse.
Allegations Against Haag
In her court filing, Ms. Jaitly described Haag as a “narcissistic, self-absorbed individual” with a short temper and alcoholic tendencies that caused her significant stress. She alleged that he prohibited her from working after their marriage in September 2010 and listed multiple instances of physical and verbal abuse.
Ms. Jaitly has sought ₹50 crore as compensation, ₹10 lakh per month in maintenance, and access to her three children, who are currently living with Haag in Austria.
The actor also claimed that Haag had filed for divorce in Austria earlier this year and alleged that the Austrian court proceedings were misleading, leaving her without legal access or fluency in the language.
Public Statement
On social media, Ms. Jaitly called the experience “the strongest and most turbulent storm” of her life, expressing determination to fight for her dignity and children despite being alone.
“Life stripped everything away. People I trusted walked away. Promises I believed in broke in silence… As a soldier's daughter raised on courage, discipline, and grit, I will continue to fight,” she wrote on Instagram.
She also highlighted her ongoing efforts to secure the release of her brother, Rtd. Vikrant Kumar Jaitly, who has been in detention in the Middle East since 2024.
“My priority remains fighting for my soldier brother, fighting for my children's love, fighting for my dignity. A DV complaint has been filed against all the atrocities and abandonment perpetrated upon me… I kindly request you to contact my legal representatives for any official information,” she added.
Ms. Jaitly, known for films like Apna Sapna Money Money, No Entry, and Janasheen, has been married to Haag for over 15 years.
