Major Action by Cantt Police

In a significant operation aimed at strengthening law and order in the Cantt police station area of Bareilly, police have successfully apprehended five wanted accused. These individuals had been absconding for a considerable period, despite non-bailable warrants being issued against them by the court. Their arrest is expected to facilitate the progress of the justice process.

Arrest of Absconding Accused

According to police reports, non-bailable warrants were issued against all arrested individuals due to their repeated absence from court proceedings. To track down these absconding individuals, a special police team from Cantt police station launched an intensive search operation on October 6, 2026. This operation resulted in the successful capture of the five warrant-holders.

Identity and Future Action

The arrested accused have been identified as Geetaram (32), a resident of Gram Shivnagar; Guddu (32) and Narendra (30), residents of Palpur; and Shishupal Singh and Sher Singh alias Patua (36), residents of Chaubari. They were apprehended by the police from their hideouts, where they had evaded capture for an extended period.

Following their arrest, the police have initiated the process to present all the accused before the concerned court as per legal procedures. This swift and effective action by the local police highlights the increased vigilance of the Cantt police in resolving pending cases with court-issued warrants. The police administration has further clarified that such campaigns will continue without interruption in the future to ensure that no lawbreaker escapes accountability and effective action is taken against them. Strict instructions have also been issued to relevant police stations for the prompt resolution of pending warrants.
