Widespread Campaign for Pure Food

Under the directives of Collector and District Magistrate Shri Arpit Verma, the Food and Drug Administration in Shivpuri district has initiated a comprehensive campaign to ensure the availability of pure and safe food items. This initiative includes ongoing inspections, sample collection, and public awareness activities across the district, in accordance with the provisions of the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006.

Sample Collection from Food Establishments

On September 1, 2026, a team of food safety officers conducted surprise inspections of various food establishments in the city and collected samples. Notably, a sample of open mixed milk was taken from Sakshi Milk Dairy on Physical Road, Shivpuri. Additionally, samples of open mixed milk and open paneer were collected from Pal Milk Dairy in Shivpuri.

Efforts to Curb Food Adulteration

During this action, guided by the Deputy Director of the Food and Drug Administration, preliminary information regarding milk and milk products was provided at both food establishments. The process of identifying adulterants in food items using rapid kits was demonstrated live in front of vendors and customers, and necessary guidelines were issued. The Food and Drug Administration has emphasized its commitment to providing pure food to the general public.

Ongoing Vigilance for Consumer Health

The campaign will feature continuous regular inspections, sample collection, and public awareness drives at various food establishments throughout the district. The primary objective of this campaign is to curb adulteration and ensure the protection of consumer health.
