Bus Overturns on Highway-46, 27 Passengers Injured; No Fatalities

Major Road Accident on Highway-46

A significant road accident occurred late Friday night on National Highway-46 when the Gurukrupa bus, en route from Bhopal to Guna, lost control and overturned on the road. More than 40 passengers were on board, with 27 sustaining serious injuries.

Prompt Rescue and Medical Response

Fortunately, no lives were lost in the incident. Upon receiving news of the accident, local residents and administrative officials immediately reached the scene to commence relief and rescue operations. The injured were swiftly transported to Narsinghgarh Civil Hospital, where a team of doctors began their treatment. Due to the severity of injuries for some passengers, one individual has been referred to Bhopal for specialized medical care.

Administrative Mobilization and Medical Aid

Given the gravity of the situation, a team from the revenue department, including Additional Superintendent of Police KL Bajare, Narsinghgarh एसडीएम Ajay Pratap Patel, Tehsildar Anarika Kajotiya, and Naib Tehsildar Sunita, arrived at the location promptly. Police force led by Station House Officer Gunja Solanki also assisted in the relief efforts. The health department was fully engaged, with Chief Medical and Health Officer (CMHO) Dr. Rajendra Ahirwar and Hospital Superintendent Gaurav Tripathi visiting the hospital to oversee the arrangements for the injured.

Assessment and Directives Issued

Doctors and paramedical staff worked together to provide essential medical assistance to the injured passengers. Narsinghgarh एसडीएम Ajay Pratap Patel personally met with the injured at the hospital to inquire about their health. He instructed the officials present to ensure all victims received prompt and appropriate treatment. For the passenger referred to Bhopal, Dial-108 ambulance services and other necessary transportation facilities were arranged to ensure timely access to advanced medical care.

Thanks to the administration's swift action, the injured were hospitalized in a timely manner. All injured passengers are currently receiving treatment at Narsinghgarh Civil Hospital. The police have initiated an investigation into the cause of the accident, examining the circumstances that led to the bus losing control and the driver's role.

Traffic Restored After Accident

Following the accident, the damaged bus remained on the road, causing traffic disruptions. Police arrived at the scene to restore traffic flow and began the process of removing the crashed bus from the highway. The absence of any fatalities has brought relief to the passengers' families and the administration.
