Tragedy Strikes Bulandshahr Wedding

A wedding celebration in Bulandshahr turned tragic on February 19 when 8-year-old Reyansh Verma was struck by a stray bullet. The incident occurred in the Sarraf Bazar area, Sunaar Wali Gali, under Nagar Kotwali police station limits.

Reyansh, the only son of Himanshu Soni, was playing on a neighbor's roof when the bullet tore through his jaw. He is currently in a coma and battling for his life at Fortis Hospital, Noida.

Celebratory Firing Gone Wrong

The incident occurred during pre-wedding celebrations at the house of Robin Verma, whose daughter was scheduled to marry on February 20. Robin's 16-year-old son, Krishna Verma, allegedly fired his father's licensed pistol into the air.

Eyewitnesses reported that Robin Verma allegedly encouraged Krishna to continue firing, despite warnings from locals about the danger. One of the bullets struck Reyansh around 5:30 PM.

Accused on the Run

The father-son duo, Robin and Krishna Verma, are currently on the run. Police have launched a massive manhunt to apprehend them. Their house was found locked and decorated for the wedding.

An FIR has been registered based on a complaint by Reyansh’s father. Police have seized the licensed pistol used in the firing and collected CCTV footage.

Family Demands Justice

Reyansh's uncle, Sanskar Verma, alleges that Krishna Verma is older than 16 and was born in 2007. The family demands strict action, cancellation of Robin Verma's gun license, and the immediate arrest of both father and son.

 

"We demand strict action and immediate arrest," said Sanskar Verma, uncle of the victim.
