BSNL Network Expansion in Narmadapuram Prioritizes Rural and Tourist Areas

The Cliff News | Narmadapuram | September 24, 2026 In a significant stride towards strengthening telecommunication services in the Narmadapuram district, the Telecom Advisory Committee of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL), Narmadapuram Zone, has placed a special emphasis on network expansion in rural and tourist areas.

Presiding over a meeting held on Wednesday, Rajya Sabha MP Maya Narolia conducted a thorough review of the current state of telecom services in the district and issued directives for immediate steps to improve connectivity quality. Members present at the meeting clarified that priority should be given to establishing new towers in rural and remote areas where BSNL network reach is weak.

Particular emphasis was placed on the need for better network connectivity in major tourist destinations like Pachmarhi, as well as in far-flung villages. Members believe this will not only benefit local residents but also boost the tourism industry and lead to more effective delivery of government services.

Demand for Concrete Action Plan for Network Expansion

Committee member Vikas Narolia stated that a concrete action plan should be prepared to strengthen connectivity in rural and tourist regions. He also highlighted that government facilities can be more easily delivered to citizens through improved telecommunication infrastructure.

Considering this proposal, BSNL officials have agreed to survey proposed locations and proceed with network strengthening efforts. The meeting was attended by BSNL General Manager Rajkumar Chanena, Deputy General Manager Sukesh Jadhav, and K.K. Mishra, along with other senior officials. Assistant General Manager Vipul Shrivastava and Narmadapuram SDO Nitin Malviya also participated in discussions on technical aspects and upcoming actions.

This meeting is being viewed as a crucial initiative towards strengthening the district's digital infrastructure and providing seamless communication services to consumers.
