Brother-in-Law's Dispute Turns Violent

In a shocking turn of events in the Fatehgarh Kotwali area of Farrukhabad on Tuesday, a pre-existing dispute between a brother-in-law and his brother-in-law erupted into a bloody confrontation. The brother-in-law allegedly launched a near-fatal knife attack on his relative, who had been called for a discussion near the old bus stand, leaving him critically injured.

Knife Attack During Discussion

The incident unfolded when Ajay, son of Ramnaresh Chauhan, a resident of Sainik Colony, was summoned by his brother-in-law, Bhola Singh Rathore, from Gujarati Wali Gali, to meet near the old bus stand. Reports indicate a prior disagreement had been simmering between the two.

During their conversation on Tuesday, the discussion escalated into an argument, which quickly devolved into a physical brawl. It is alleged that as the conflict intensified, Bhola Singh produced a knife from his pocket and attacked Ajay, causing him to bleed profusely.

Chaos and Police Intervention

Following the stabbing, a fierce fight ensued between both parties, causing panic among onlookers and drawing a large crowd to the scene. Despite the presence of police, the altercation continued for a considerable period.

Observing the deteriorating situation, the police intervened, apprehending individuals from both sides and taking them to the Fatehgarh Kotwali. The injured Ajay was rushed to the hospital for immediate medical attention and is currently receiving treatment.

Investigation Underway

Upon receiving information about the incident, police officials visited the location to gather details. Additional Superintendent of Police Girish Kumar stated that a report will be filed in accordance with the law once a formal complaint is received.

The police are actively investigating the underlying reasons for the dispute and the sequence of events leading to the attack. Interrogations of both parties are underway, and efforts are being made to ascertain the roles of all individuals involved. Further action will be taken based on the findings of the investigation and the submitted complaint.
