Boda Police Apprehends Liquor Smuggler with 60 Liters of Illicit Alcohol

Major Success in Anti-Illicit Liquor Campaign

In a significant bust as part of a special campaign against illegal liquor smuggling in the Rajgarh district, Boda Police Station has achieved a major success. The police apprehended a smuggler in the village of Pipliya Rasoda, seizing 60 liters of illicit raw liquor from his possession.

The seized liquor is estimated to have a market value of approximately nine thousand rupees. This action is a part of intensive operations led by Superintendent of Police Amit Tolani, aimed at curbing the sale of illegal drugs and liquor across the district.

Action Initiated on Informant's Tip

The operation was conducted under the guidance of Additional Superintendent of Police K.L. Banjare and SDOP Ram Sneha Chauhan, and led by Station House Officer Devendra Rajput.

According to sources, on September 26, 2026, Boda Police received a confidential tip regarding an individual selling illicit liquor, prepared in a makeshift furnace, by the roadside in Pipliya Rasoda village. Acting swiftly on this information, the police team reached the location and caught the accused red-handed.

Case Registered Under Excise Act

During the search, police confiscated a total of 60 liters of raw liquor stored in two plastic cans from the accused, identified as Kanhaiya Lal S/o Randhir Sondhia, a resident of village Gulkhadi.

The police have registered a case against the accused under Section 34(2) of the Excise Act. After completing the legal proceedings, the accused has been presented before the honorable court.

Continued Crackdown Planned

The police administration has clarified that similar strict legal action against illicit liquor and other narcotic substances will continue in the region in the future.
