BJP Officials Denied Entry Despite Passes During CM Yogi's Welcome; Tensions Flare

Event Security Prevents Entry of BJP Officials

Amidst stringent security arrangements for Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's visit, an unexpected incident occurred. Despite possessing official passes, three BJP district officials were prevented from reaching the designated gallery behind the stage for the Chief Minister's welcome.

Police cited security reasons for denying them entry, leading to a verbal altercation between the officials and security personnel. Information indicates that approximately 33 district committee officials were scheduled to be present in the gallery behind the stage to welcome the Chief Minister.

Passes Issued, Entry Denied

Among those who had received special passes were BJP District Vice President Abhishek Watham, Virendra Katheria, and Ashneel Diwakar. Upon arriving at the designated gallery, the security personnel stationed there stopped them.

The officials presented their passes and requested entry, but the police refused, stating that the three individuals had cases registered against them. Emphasizing that security was paramount, the police firmly denied them access to the gallery.

Officials Protest, Minor Confrontation Ensues

The BJP officials raised objections to being stopped despite having valid passes. A brief argument ensued with the security personnel, but they were not allowed to proceed further. Ultimately, the three officials had to remain outside the gallery.

Organizational Meeting Addresses Incident

Immediately after the Chief Minister's departure, a meeting was held at the BJP district office in Awas Vikas with the affected officials. BJP State General Secretary Shankar Lal Lodhi and Regional President Ramkishore Sahu also attended this meeting.

During the meeting, the issue of the three officials being denied entry despite holding passes for the Chief Minister's welcome was prominently raised. Sources suggest that the incident has been taken seriously at the organizational level.

State General Secretary Shankar Lal Lodhi stated that this matter will be discussed in the upcoming organizational meeting in Lucknow.

Meanwhile, BJP District President Fatehchand Verma clarified that no serious cases are registered against the three officials. He also stated that to prevent such incidents in the future, he would personally meet Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to convey their concerns.
