BJP Commemorates Partition Horrors Remembrance Day in Balrampur

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Balrampur observed Partition Horrors Remembrance Day on Friday, August 14, 2026, with a seminar and an exhibition. The event aimed to remember the untold suffering, mass displacement, and loss of life during the country's partition.

Following the seminar, a silent procession was taken out from the BJP office to Veer Vinay Chowk, where party workers paid tribute to the victims of the partition. The commemorative event, held at Atal Bhavan, Tulsipark, located at the BJP office, shed light on the tragedies associated with the partition of the country. Speakers recounted the unbearable conditions and the sacrifices of millions during that era.

Understanding the Tragedy of Partition is Essential

Addressing the seminar, BJP State Minister Shivbhushan Singh stated that Partition Horrors Remembrance Day is a crucial occasion to remember the struggles, pain, and sacrifices of millions who faced unimaginable circumstances during the country's division. He emphasized the necessity of remembering these historical events so that future generations can comprehend the horrors of partition and remain more vigilant about national unity, integrity, and social harmony.

At the start of the program, BJP District President Ravi Kumar Mishra welcomed the guests and party workers. He remarked that the horrors of partition can never be forgotten and that the Remembrance Day aims to introduce the younger generation to the realities of that dark period in the nation's history.

Exhibition Depicts the Pain of Partition

On this occasion, an exhibition related to the horrors of partition was also organized at the BJP office. This exhibition showcased pictures and other materials depicting historical events, mass displacement, and the suffering of people during the partition period. Present public representatives, officials, and party workers reviewed the exhibition and understood the poignant events of the partition.

Several dignitaries, including MLA Paltu Ram (Sadar), MLA Kailash Nath Shukla (Tulsipur), MLA Ram Pratap Verma (Utraula), former MLA Shailesh Kumar Singh ‘Shailu’, Chairman Dr. Shidhindra Pratap Singh ‘Dhiru’, Block Chiefs Pankaj Singh and Rakesh Tiwari, along with Shakti Singh, Mahipal Chaudhary, Shyam Manohar Tiwari, Dr. Hukum Singh, Sardar Preetpal Singh, Anoop Chandra Gupta, District Vice President Brijendra Tiwari, and Varun Singh ‘Monu’, among many others, were present. A large number of BJP officials and workers, including Vandana Paswan, Aadya Singh ‘Pinki’, Sanjay Shukla, Dayaram Prajapati, General Secretary Dr. Ajay Singh ‘Pinku’, and Bindu Vishwakarma, also attended.

During the program, all attendees resolved to further strengthen the nation's unity, integrity, and social harmony, remembering the struggles and sacrifices of the families who were victimized and displaced during the horrors of partition.
