Grand Tiranga Yatra Held in Balrampur
The Balrampur BJP Nagar Mandal and Municipality Balrampur jointly organized a magnificent Tiranga Yatra on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, filling the air with patriotic fervor. The procession commenced from the Balrampur Railway Station turn and concluded at Bhagwatiganj Chowk.
A large number of BJP workers, public representatives, and city residents enthusiastically participated, holding the national flag aloft. Chants of 'Bharat Mata Ki Jai' and 'Vande Mataram' permeated the entire route, creating an atmosphere steeped in national pride.
The yatra was led by Ravi Mishra, the District President of Balrampur BJP, MLA Paltu Ram, and Dr. Dhirendra Pratap Singh ‘Dhiru’, the President of the Balrampur Municipality. Participants journeyed through the city's main roads, conveying messages of the nation's unity, integrity, and patriotism.
Tiranga: Symbol of Pride and Honor
During the event, speakers emphasized that the Tiranga is not merely the national flag but a symbol of India's pride, honor, and glory. They highlighted the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' (Tricolor at Every Home) campaign as instrumental in strengthening patriotic sentiments among citizens.
The speakers urged citizens to actively participate in this campaign and accord the highest respect to the national flag. The Tiranga Yatra successfully delivered messages of patriotism, unity, and social harmony across Balrampur city, calling for collective progress in the nation's interest.
Prominent Attendees and Municipal Initiatives
Notable attendees included Executive Officer Lal Chand Maurya, Mahant Gelhapur, BJP District Vice President Brijendra Tiwari, Aadya Singh Pinki, Sanjay Shukla, Dr. Ajay Singh ‘Pinku’, Bindu Vishwakarma, DP Singh Bais, Lalita Tiwari, Manju Tiwari, Jhuma Singh, Sarita Shukla, Anand Raj Srivastava, Sanjay Sharma, Ramesh Pahwa, Dr. Rakesh Chandra, and Gaurav Mishra, along with other BJP officials, workers, municipal staff, and a large number of city residents.
It is noteworthy that the Balrampur Municipality had recently distributed raincoats to its employees for their safety during the monsoon season. Ravi Mishra was appointed as the new District President of Balrampur BJP on March 16, 2025. Furthermore, over 9 crore 25 lakh rupees in arrears were scheduled to be disbursed to retired employees on June 28, 2026.
