BJP Leader Intervenes After Electricity Pole Hampers Shopfront in Farrukhabad
A shopkeeper in Farrukhabad faces hardship as an electricity pole obstructs his shop entrance; a local BJP leader has taken notice.

Shopkeeper Faces Obstruction from Electricity Pole
In Mohammadabad, Farrukhabad, a shopkeeper named Ajit Singh is experiencing significant difficulties due to an electricity pole positioned directly in front of his shop. The pole's placement squarely in the middle of the shop's entrance creates a hurdle for opening the business and poses a constant risk of accidents.
Ajit Singh has repeatedly brought this issue to the attention of the relevant authorities, but his problem remains unresolved. In his helplessness, he reached out to Rahul Rathore, the Media In-charge of the BJP's Fatehgarh Mandal.
BJP Leader Pledges Action
Rahul Rathore has assured Ajit Singh that he will inform the concerned officials about the matter. He stated that if the pole is not removed promptly, he will escalate the issue by sending a complaint letter to the District Magistrate to seek a resolution.
Disruption to Business Operations
The electricity pole is obstructing the entrance of Ajit Singh's shop, located near the vegetable market on the Mohammadabad Sankisa Road. This obstruction is causing significant disruption to his business operations.
Ajit Singh's shop, situated near the vegetable market on Sankisa Road in the Mohammadabad area, has been the family's source of livelihood for years. Recently, a utility pole was installed by the municipality or electricity department directly in front of the shop's main entrance.
Persistent Issues and Safety Concerns
This inconvenient placement makes it difficult for Ajit Singh to open his shop properly, and it also hinders customers from accessing the premises. He has lodged numerous complaints, both written and verbal, with local municipal and electricity department officials, but has only received assurances with no concrete action.
The pole's placement not only affects his business but also poses a serious safety hazard. There's a risk of the pole falling due to minor mishaps or strong winds, endangering the shop and people nearby. Facing mounting pressure, Ajit Singh decided to escalate the issue politically.
Political Intervention and Future Steps
He contacted Rahul Rathore, the Media In-charge for the BJP's Fatehgarh Mandal, detailing his predicament and requesting intervention. Rahul Rathore has taken the matter seriously, promising to instruct the relevant officials to ensure the pole's swift removal. He emphasized that immediate action is the priority.
"If departmental officials do not take prompt cognizance and fail to remove the pole, I will personally raise this issue with the District Magistrate by sending a formal complaint letter detailing the entire situation and demanding the pole's removal," Rathore stated.
Ajit Singh now hopes for a definitive resolution to his long-standing problem.
