An unusual legal battle is causing a stir among lawyers at the Damoh court in Madhya Pradesh. Advocate Govind Tiwari is facing a formal legal notice from a colleague for failing to fulfill a written promise to host a birthday party for his peers.

The situation began around August 10, when Advocate Tiwari verbally promised to organize a party for all his colleagues at the Bar Association on his birthday. After the promised date passed without any event, other advocates, notably Vishal Singh Thakur, inquired about the party.

Under increasing pressure, Govind Tiwari issued a written declaration on August 19, explicitly stating that he would host a party for all advocates on August 23 at 7 PM. Many advocates waited at the designated location on the evening of August 23, but neither the party materialized nor did Advocate Tiwari provide any response.

Legal Notice Issued Amidst Lawyerly Discussions

Angered by the broken promise and the violation of the written declaration, Advocate Vishal Singh Thakur has sent a legal notice to Advocate Govind Tiwari. The notice formally objects to the non-fulfillment of the written commitment and warns of potential action.
