Biofuel Pump in Garoth Sealed by District Administration

The Shri Krishna Biofuel Diesel Pump, located near the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway in the Garoth tehsil of Mandsaur district, has been immediately sealed by the district administration. The pump had been operating for approximately one year without obtaining the mandatory No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Collector.

This administrative action has raised serious questions about the functioning of the local monitoring mechanism. According to official sources, the Shri Krishna Biofuel Pump commenced operations in March 2025. The area falls under the jurisdiction of Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Rahul Chauhan.

Questions Arise Over Oversight and Accountability

Given the pump's location on a main route frequented by various administrative officials and government department employees, the question arises: if the Collector's permission was necessary for operation, how were relevant departments unaware of this unauthorized operation for the past year?

It is also under investigation whether the pump's operational documents were ever checked or if regular inspections were conducted during this period. The administrative team's surprise action has highlighted the delay in verifying necessary permits for an establishment operating for a year.

Joint Team Conducts Sealing, Investigation Continues

On Tuesday morning, a joint team comprising an executive magistrate and the food department reached the site and carried out the sealing of the pump. A case has also been registered. Attempts to get a response from the responsible officials were unsuccessful as they could not be reached by phone.

Currently, the administration is conducting a thorough investigation into the matter and verifying the relevant documents. Local citizens have demanded accountability from the concerned departments following this development.
