Mandsaur | September 29, 2026 — In the Garoth area of Mandsaur district, the Shri Krishna Biofuel Diesel Pump, located near the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway, has been sealed with immediate effect by the administration.
The action was taken due to the pump's failure to obtain the Collector's No Objection Certificate (NOC), which is mandatory for its operation. This development has raised questions in the region regarding the oversight of an establishment that has been operational for over a year.
Questions Arise Over Monitoring System
Sources indicate that the biofuel pump has been continuously operating since March 2025. This pump falls under the jurisdiction of SDM Rahul Chauhan of Garoth.
Given its prominent location on a main route frequented by administrative and government officials, it is natural to question why relevant departments did not notice its operation until now, especially since the Collector's NOC is a prerequisite and its absence led to the recent sealing.

On Tuesday morning, a joint team comprising an Executive Magistrate and the Food Department, led by SDM Rahul Chauhan, inspected the site. Following the inspection, a case was registered against the establishment, and the biofuel pump was sealed.

Monitoring System Under Scrutiny
Alongside the administrative action, it is crucial for the concerned officials to clarify why the permits and documents of this establishment, operational for over a year, were not checked. The administration must also explain the system in place for regular inspections and ensuring compliance with relevant rules.
Attempts to get a statement from the relevant officials were unsuccessful as their calls were not answered, preventing their official stance from being obtained.
