Bina-Ruthiyai MEMU Timings Revised; Improved Connectivity Thanks to Scindia's Efforts
The operational timing of the Bina-Ruthiyai MEMU train has been significantly altered to enhance connectivity for nocturnal travelers.

Improved Connectivity on Bina-Ruthiyai Route
In a major relief for commuters in the region, the operational timings of the Bina-Ruthiyai MEMU train have been significantly revised, offering improved connectivity for passengers traveling at night. This development comes as a result of persistent efforts by Union Minister of Communications and North Eastern Region Development and local MP, Jyotiraditya Scindia.
Under the new schedule, the MEMU train will now depart from Ruthiyai Junction at 8:30 PM. This change is particularly beneficial for passengers arriving at Ruthiyai Junction via the Indore-Kota Express, which reaches the station at 8:20 PM. This revision addresses a long-standing demand from thousands of passengers seeking better coordination between these two crucial trains.
Addressing Passenger Inconvenience
Previously, the MEMU train's departure from Ruthiyai at 8:00 PM caused passengers of the Indore-Kota Express to miss their connection, leading to extended and inconvenient waits. The 20-minute gap was a significant source of inconvenience for those relying on both services.
Scindia's Intervention Leads to Timely Change
The process for this schedule revision began on June 27, 2026. During a local event in Guna, Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia had assured passengers that the MEMU timings would be adjusted to prevent inconvenience to those arriving on the Indore-Kota Express. His assurance was acted upon promptly, with the change coming into effect on Tuesday, bringing a wave of happiness among travelers.
Passenger Demands Heard by Scindia
Local commuters had repeatedly urged for the alignment of the Bina-Ruthiyai MEMU train's schedule with the arrival time of the Indore-Kota Express. Minister Scindia took this demand seriously and effectively presented the issue to the Ministry of Railways and Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw. His continuous efforts to find a solution have culminated in this positive outcome.
Revised MEMU Timings Offer Seamless Travel
The Ministry of Railways, understanding the passengers' predicament, has modified the MEMU's departure time from Ruthiyai. The new departure time of 8:30 PM ensures a smooth connection with the arrival of the Indore-Kota Express. This adjustment will significantly benefit passengers traveling from the Indore-Kota Express to surrounding areas such as Guna, Ashoknagar, Mungaoli, and Bina.
Residents and regular commuters have expressed profound gratitude towards Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia. They acknowledge that his personal intervention and sustained efforts have resolved a significant issue, making their journeys more convenient.
