The Madhya Pradesh government has given cabinet approval to the much-awaited Western Bypass project for the capital city, Bhopal. This significant step is expected to liberate the city from traffic pressure and pave the way for a new era of planned urban development.

The project, spanning approximately 35.61 kilometers and costing ₹3,774 crore, will facilitate the movement of heavy vehicles from other cities to their destinations without entering Bhopal city.
