Daycare Center Inaugurated for Children of Police Personnel

A newly constructed 'Vatsalya Jhulaghar' (daycare center) was inaugurated today at the Police Public School in Nehru Nagar, Bhopal. This facility is designed to provide convenience for officials and employees of the Madhya Pradesh Police, with a particular focus on women police personnel.

The daycare center, which has a capacity for 60 children, was inaugurated by the state's Director General of Police, Mr. Kailash Makwana. This initiative is expected to relieve police personnel from concerns about childcare during duty hours, allowing them to perform their duties with peace of mind.

Enhancing Focus on Duty

Director General of Police, Mr. Kailash Makwana, stated that women officers and staff in the police department are effectively fulfilling their responsibilities across various positions. He acknowledged that with both spouses often being employed, childcare for young children presents a significant challenge, especially in the current times where traditional joint family support systems are less prevalent.

Mr. Makwana emphasized the critical importance of proper childcare, considering the nature of police service which often involves long shifts, late-night duties, and working during festivals. He highlighted that a facility like 'Vatsalya Jhulaghar' will not only ensure the well-being of children but also assist police officers and staff in concentrating better on their duties.

"The adequate arrangement for childcare is a significant facility for police families. This will especially enable women police officers and staff to better balance their family responsibilities and professional obligations," he added.

Senior Officials in Attendance

The inauguration ceremony saw the presence of several senior police officials, including Special Director General of Police Mr. Anil Kumar, Additional Director General of Police Mr. Jaideep Prasad, Additional Director General of Police Mr. D. Srinivas Varma, Additional Director General of Police Mr. Solomon Yash Kumar Minz, Bhopal Police Commissioner Mr. Sanjay Kumar, Additional Police Commissioner Mrs. Monika Shukla, PSO to DGP Dr. Vineet Kapoor, and Additional Police Commissioner Mr. Shailendra Singh Chauhan.

During the same event, a meeting was also held to discuss preparations for an upcoming Garba program organized for the families of police officers and employees, with detailed discussions on the event's arrangements.
