Bhopal to Host Homage Ceremony on Atal Bihari Vajpayee's Death Anniversary

Tribute Ceremony for Atal Bihari Vajpayee in Bhopal

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) District Bhopal Nagar is organizing a special homage ceremony today, August 16, 2026, at 10:00 AM, to mark the death anniversary of former Prime Minister and Bharat Ratna recipient, Shraddhey Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

The event is expected to be attended by Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, BJP State President Shri Hemant Khandelwal, State In-charge Dr. Mahendra Singh, and other senior state leaders. Additionally, state government ministers, Members of Parliament, MLAs, the Mayor, and other elected representatives will offer floral tributes to Shraddhey Atal Bihari Vajpayee's statue.

Ceremony Details

The tribute assembly will take place at the statue site on Old Jail Road, near MP Nagar Police Station in Bhopal. Shri Ravindra Yati, BJP District Bhopal President, stated that the program is intended to express respect for Shraddhey Atal Ji.

This event is a significant occasion for the BJP, where prominent leaders and workers will remember the ideals of late Atal Bihari Vajpayee and his contributions to nation-building. The gathering on his death anniversary will reaffirm his political life and principles.
