Bhopal Municipal Corporation Intensifies Action Against Sanitation Violations

Bhopal Municipal Corporation has escalated its campaign against activities leading to littering, improper disposal of construction and demolition (C&D) waste, polythene usage, and property defacement across the city. On Friday, the corporation's enforcement teams collected a total of Rs 12,600 in spot fines from 73 cases during special drives conducted in various areas.

Under the clear directives of Corporation Commissioner Mrs. Sanskruti Jain, the health department teams of the Municipal Corporation took action against individuals obstructing the city's cleanliness, polluting the environment, and damaging public property. This campaign saw revenue generated through distinct actions in different zones.

Zone-Wise Breakdown of Fines Collected

Actions across various zones resulted in the following collections:

• Zone No. 13: Fines of Rs 3,800 were imposed in 17 cases.
• Zone No. 14: A sum of Rs 3,800 was collected from 26 cases.
• Zone No. 15: Fines amounting to Rs 1,900 were levied in 19 cases.
• Zone No. 16: An amount of Rs 3,100 was deposited as spot fines in 11 cases.

In total, Rs 12,600 in fines was collected from various violators across 73 cases. This ongoing action demonstrates the Municipal Corporation's commitment to maintaining a clean and organized city.

The Municipal administration has appealed to the general public to cooperate in maintaining the city's cleanliness and to refrain from violating rules, as penalties will be imposed on offenders.
