Bhopal MP Alok Sharma faced a severe two-hour traffic jam due to illegal vendors and vehicles, prompting intervention from senior officials.

MP Faces Severe Traffic Congestion
Bhopal: MP Shri Alok Sharma was caught in a grueling traffic jam for two hours on Wednesday while heading to the Chola Vishram Ghat. The legislator could only cover a distance of two kilometers during this period.
The chaos was attributed to numerous illegally parked autos, vehicles, kiosks, and temporary stalls that severely disrupted traffic flow along the route.
Administration Intervenes After MP's Outrage
Deeply frustrated by the ordeal, MP Shri Sharma immediately summoned senior administrative officials to the scene. He spoke with Collector Shri Priyank Mishra and Police Commissioner Shri Sanjay Kumar over the phone, instructing them to reach the location promptly, inspect the traffic situation, and restore normalcy.
Officials Inspect Site, Address Grievances
Following the MP's directive, administrative and police officials arrived at the location and personally surveyed the entire stretch. They observed that the illegally parked autos, vehicles, kiosks, and shops were causing significant inconvenience to the general public.
MP Shri Sharma expressed his profound displeasure to the officials, stating, "If a Member of Parliament faces such disorder, one can only imagine the suffering of ordinary citizens."
He directed the officials to ensure smooth traffic movement on the road leading to and from Chola Vishram Ghat, preventing citizens from encountering jams and disarray.
Instructions Issued for Encroachment Removal and Permanent Solutions
The MP specifically ordered measures to organize illegally parked autos and vehicles, remove encroachments, and implement permanent solutions for traffic management.
He emphasized that the cremation ground is a place where people arrive in a state of deep sorrow and grief to attend their loved ones' final journey, making the experience of traffic jams and disorganization along the route particularly unfortunate.
MP Sharma urged the officials to prioritize rectifying the traffic situation on this route and find lasting solutions to prevent such occurrences in the future.
