Temporary Halt for Bhopal-Howrah Express at Ranchi Road

The Bhopal Division of West Central Railway has made a significant decision to temporarily alter the operational schedule of the Howrah-Bhopal-Howrah Express (Train Nos. 13025/13025). The train will now observe an additional stop at Ranchi Road station, located within the Dhanbad Division of East Central Railway.

This change has been implemented in lieu of the Barkakana station stop and will remain effective until further notice. The decision prioritizes passenger convenience, aiming to facilitate easier travel for passengers from Ranchi Road and surrounding areas to Bhopal and Howrah.

Enhanced Connectivity and Passenger Benefits

According to a press release (No. 348/2026) issued by the railway administration, this temporary halt is designed to allow passengers to plan their journeys according to the new schedule. The initiative seeks to improve regional connectivity and offer more travel options to passengers.

The introduction of a halt for this important train at Ranchi Road station is also anticipated to boost the region's economic and social development. It is expected to open new avenues for passenger and freight movement.

Detailed Timings for Ranchi Road Halt

The railway administration has specified the arrival and departure timings for the 13025 Howrah–Bhopal Express at Ranchi Road. Effective from October 19, 2026, the train will arrive at Ranchi Road at 7:10 PM and depart at 7:15 PM.

Conversely, the 13026 Bhopal–Howrah Express, traveling in the opposite direction, will reach Ranchi Road station at 6:50 AM and depart at 6:55 AM, commencing from October 15, 2026. This brief, five-minute stop is intended to provide sufficient time for passengers to board and alight.

Important Note Regarding Barkakana Station

This new halt at Ranchi Road will be implemented in place of the current halt at Barkakana station. Consequently, the Howrah-Bhopal-Howrah Express will not be stopping at Barkakana station during this period. Passengers are advised to take note of this significant change when planning their travel.

This measure by the railway administration is seen as a response to passenger feedback and the growing demand from the region, aiming to enhance service accessibility.

Information and Instructions for Passengers

The railway administration kindly requests passengers to utilize various official channels for detailed information regarding train schedules and this temporary halt. Passengers can obtain the latest and accurate information through the National Train Enquiry System (NTES) number 139, the official Indian Railways enquiry website www.enquiry.indianrail.gov.in, or the NTES mobile application.

This informative step is aimed at preventing any inconvenience to passengers and ensuring a smooth travel experience. In the event of any unforeseen changes, passengers can receive immediate updates through these channels. This transparent communication policy is crucial for maintaining passenger trust and ensuring the smooth operation of rail services.

Passengers are urged to confirm their travel plans through these channels before their journey.
