Bhojpuri Actor and Influencer Arrested in Ghaziabad for Rape and Fraud

Ghaziabad Police have arrested a 28-year-old Bhojpuri actor, IPL commentator, YouTuber, and comedian on charges of rape, forced religious conversion, abortion, and fraud. The arrest was made from his Patna residence on Sunday after police obtained a transit remand. The influencer has over 16 million followers online.

The case follows a complaint filed on September 18 by a woman YouTuber and Bhojpuri actor, who accused him of sexually assaulting her and coercing her into religious conversion. According to the FIR, the two met about two and a half years ago, during which he allegedly concealed his marital status and real identity.

The woman alleged that he invited her home, gave her a drink laced with sedatives, and assaulted her. He later performed a secret marriage and continued to exploit her. She also claimed that he and his family pressured her to convert to Islam, forced her to recite religious texts, and gave her food against her beliefs.

Further allegations include that he forced her to undergo an abortion without consent and demanded money via cash and online transfers. She later discovered he was already married with two children, and expressed fear for her life.

The FIR was registered at Khoda Colony Police Station under Sections 338, 376, 377, 313, 323, and 506 of the IPC. The accused has been remanded to judicial custody following a court hearing, confirmed ACP Abhishek Srivastava (Indirapuram).
