'Seva Mera Yogdaan' Campaign Unites Bhind in Cleanliness Drive
Under the 'Seva Mera Yogdaan' campaign, part of the larger Seva Sankalp Abhiyan 2026, significant cleanliness activities were organized at the Bhind district headquarters. The initiative aimed to instill a collective sense of responsibility towards cleanliness among the public.
On the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, local MLA Narendra Singh Kushwah and District Collector actively participated in a 'shramdaan' (voluntary labor) effort. They, along with administrative officials and local representatives, worked at Chandu Ki Tivaria near the Gauri river.
Honoring the Frontline of Cleanliness
A highlight of the event was the special ceremony to honor the sanitation workers. These 'frontrunners of cleanliness' were felicitated with garlands and medals by the dignitaries present. The objective was to underscore and foster respect for the invaluable contributions of sanitation workers to society.
All attendees took a pledge to make the premises plastic-free, embodying the core mantra of 'Participation in Cleanliness, Clean India, Developed India'. The widespread public participation underscored the growing awareness of cleanliness in the city.
Broad Participation and Lasting Impact
The event saw the presence of key figures including Veer Singh Chauhan, CEO of Zila Panchayat Bhind, Deputy Collector, Virendra Chakravarti, CMO of the Municipality, along with officials from various departments, public representatives, eminent citizens, and representatives from social organizations.
This collective effort has sparked a new wave of enthusiasm for cleanliness in the city. The initiative, held in commemoration of Gandhi Jayanti, proved to be a significant step towards promoting cleanliness at the grassroots level, moving beyond mere symbolism.
The direct involvement of senior officials like the MLA and Collector set an example for the public and highlighted the importance of sanitation workers. Honoring them sent a clear message that cleanliness is a shared responsibility and everyone involved deserves respect. Conducting shramdaan at public places like Chandu Ki Tivaria demonstrated that the cleanliness drive is being put into practice, inspiring people to maintain their surroundings.
The pledge to create plastic-free premises also indicates serious efforts to ensure a clean and healthy environment for future generations. The participation of various government departments, local bodies, NGOs, and citizens emphasized the importance of 'public participation'. When different sections of society unite for a noble cause, the results are significantly more impactful, showcasing the citizens of Bhind's awareness and readiness to actively contribute to cleanliness.
Maintaining the positive energy generated by this program and ensuring its continuity will be crucial for the future. This collective endeavor has indeed created a new momentum for cleanliness in the city.
