Streetlight System Upgrade in Bhind
The Bhind Municipal Administration has taken a significant step towards improving the city's basic amenities. In this regard, Chief Municipal Officer (CMO) Virendra Chakravarti conducted a surprise inspection of Ward Number 39 to assess the street lighting system.
In compliance with the directives of Collector Kirodi Lal Meena, the CMO, accompanied by the local councillor, toured various neighborhoods and main roads of the ward during the inspection. During the inspection, CMO Virendra Chakravarti identified electricity poles where lights were non-functional or where new lighting was urgently needed.
Urgent Directives Issued for Light Installation
He issued strict instructions to the present electricity department staff to prioritize the installation of new streetlights on all empty and defunct poles in the ward. The CMO emphasized that the primary goal of the public lighting system is to provide safe and smooth passage for citizens at night. He stated that every corner of the ward should have adequate lighting so that residents do not face any kind of inconvenience.
Strict Instructions for System Improvement
The CMO, paying special attention to the speed and quality of work, cautioned the staff to complete all tasks promptly within the stipulated deadlines. He issued a clear warning that any laxity or negligence in improving the system would not be tolerated at any level. Disciplinary action would be taken against the concerned employees if any sluggishness is observed in the work.
