Bhind District Superintendent of Police (SP) Suraj Kumar Verma conducted a surprise inspection of Bharoli Police Station and Nayagaon Police Station on Friday. During the visit, he thoroughly reviewed the arrangements at both stations, including criminal records, various registers, the malkhana (storeroom for seized goods), and arms and ammunition.

SP Verma, an IPS officer from the 2013 batch, is currently serving as the Superintendent of Police in Bhind. The primary objective of this annual inspection was to assess the operational efficiency of the police stations and strengthen law and order.

Detailed Review of Station Functionality

During the inspection, Superintendent of Police Verma held detailed discussions with the station staff. He reviewed the working procedures of the police stations and provided essential directives to further fortify law and order. Mr. Verma particularly emphasized the importance of expediting pending criminal cases, crime control, and prioritizing public grievance redressal.

He also advised the police personnel on the significance of community policing and maintaining sensitivity towards the public, aiming to strengthen citizens' trust in the police force.

In-depth Examination of Records and Seized Goods

In the initial phase of the inspection, Superintendent of Police Verma meticulously examined all criminal records and various registers at Bharoli Police Station and Nayagaon Police Station. He ascertained the status of each case file to ensure that all registered cases were being processed according to regulations.

Additionally, the condition of the malkhana was thoroughly inspected, assessing the accuracy of seized goods records and the security of the materials. The storage and maintenance of arms and ammunition were also duly checked to prevent any negligence.

Emphasis on Grievance Redressal and Crime Control

Superintendent of Police Suraj Kumar Verma instructed the station staff to take the complaints and problems of the general public seriously and ensure their swift and just resolution. He stated that public grievance redressal is an integral part of policing and that victims should receive immediate assistance.

Regarding crime control, SP Verma directed the police stations to increase patrolling in their respective areas, maintain a close watch on anti-social elements, and activate their informers' network. He stressed that no crime should be allowed to flourish and that strict action should be taken against offenders.

Review of Traffic Management System

As part of the inspection of Nayagaon Police Station, Superintendent of Police Suraj Kumar Verma also surveyed traffic-related black spots in the area. He analyzed the causes of accidents occurring at these locations and issued necessary instructions to the concerned officials to take steps to improve the traffic management system.

This review included aspects such as road conditions, the functioning of traffic signals, and the activeness of the traffic police. The objective of this inspection was to ensure that all processes within the police stations are running smoothly and that security and justice are accessible to the general public.
