Bhind Police Seize Illegal Liquor Worth Over ₹1 Lakh, Two Arrested
Bhind police have confiscated illegal liquor valued at ₹1.10 lakh and arrested two individuals as part of an ongoing campaign against illicit alcohol.

Major Haul in Anti-Liquor Drive
As part of a special campaign to curb the sale and smuggling of illegal liquor in the Bhind district, the police have achieved a significant success. The City Kotwali police, in an operation, have seized illegal English and country liquor worth ₹1,10,000.
Two Apprehended, Motorcycle Seized
In connection with the case, police apprehended one person while he was delivering the liquor, and his accomplice was also arrested. Additionally, a motorcycle used in the smuggling operation has been seized. The campaign is being conducted under the guidance of Superintendent of Police Suraj Kumar Verma, Additional Superintendent of Police Pradeep Patel, and City Superintendent of Police Niranjan Singh Rajput.
Tip-off Leads to First Arrest
The Kotwali Police Station in-charge received information from a tip-off that an individual was waiting near the Mela Ground to deliver a consignment of illegal liquor. Acting swiftly on this information, a police team immediately reached the spot, cordoned off the area, and apprehended the accused. The arrested individual was found in possession of 20 sachets of plain country liquor and one bottle of Royal Stag (750 ml). The Hero Splendor Plus motorcycle (MP07JW1993) used in the smuggling was also seized.
Partner's Residence Yields Large Stock
Under stringent interrogation, the accused admitted to supplying liquor to various locations according to demand in partnership with his accomplice. Following his lead, the police proceeded to his partner's house in Balaji Nagar. A search of the house revealed a large stock of illegal English liquor concealed in a room on the upper floor and in the bathroom.
Extensive Seizure and Estimated Value
The total quantity of liquor seized is reported to be 53.445 liters, which includes 99 quarter bottles (180 ml), 41 half bottles (375 ml), and 7 full bottles (750 ml), along with cans of beer. The estimated value of the seized liquor has been assessed at approximately ₹1,10,000.
Further Investigation on Police Remand
The police have formally seized the confiscated illegal liquor and the motorcycle and arrested both accused. Further investigation into the matter is underway. The police are taking the accused into custody on remand for interrogation to ascertain the origin of the liquor consignment and identify all individuals involved in this illegal trade. It is expected that other major suppliers and the network will be uncovered in this case soon.
