Police Action Ahead of Festive Season

In a significant operation ahead of Diwali and upcoming festivals, the Bhind Police have taken a major action. The Station City Kotwali Police apprehended an accused involved in the illegal manufacturing of carbide guns (potash guns) from a welding shop in the Madhoganj Haat area.

Authorities seized seven carbide guns, welding equipment, and a substantial quantity of raw material from the spot, estimated to be worth approximately 40,000 to 50,000 rupees. This action comes despite prior orders issued by Collector Pawan Kumar Jain, which impose a complete ban on the purchase, sale, storage, and use of carbide guns that produce excessive sound by using explosive materials.

Undercover Operation Based on Informant Tip

Under the guidance of Superintendent of Police Suraj Kumar Verma and Additional Superintendent of Police Pradeep Patel, and with the direction of City Superintendent of Police Niranjan Rajput, this campaign was conducted. A special team, led by Station House Officer Anita Gurjar, received specific information on October 25th that illegal carbide guns were being manufactured in a welding shop near Madhoganj Haat.

Acting swiftly upon receiving the information, the police team raided the shop. The accused was caught red-handed in the process of manufacturing these illegal weapons.

Seized Items and Legal Proceedings

During the search, the police recovered seven potash carbide guns, five welding rods, a welding machine, and an iron hammer from the scene. The total estimated value of the seized material has been assessed at forty to fifty thousand rupees.

A case has been registered against the accused at Station City Kotwali. The police are currently conducting an in-depth investigation to determine to whom and for what purpose the accused intended to supply these illegal carbide guns.

Several officers, including Inspector Anita Gurjar, Sub-Inspector Deepak Tomar, Neeraj Bhadauria, Ram Baran, Brijmohan Singh, Sandeep Rajawat, Raghavendra Tomar, and Abhishek Yadav, played an active role in this operation. The police administration has clarified that any form of illegal activity will not be tolerated during the upcoming festivals, and such campaigns will continue in the future to strengthen security measures.
