Strict Revenue Recovery Mandated

The Bhind Municipality Council has once again intensified its efforts to recover outstanding revenue. During a crucial review meeting with revenue department officials, Chief Municipal Officer (CMO) Virendra Chakravarty issued clear directives for the recovery of property tax, water tax, and shop rent from defaulters within three days.

This directive is expected to increase pressure on individuals and entities who have not yet cleared their dues to the municipality. The CMO instructed the revenue department staff to conduct a zone-wise survey of large residential complexes and commercial buildings across the city.

Furthermore, it was directed that property owners or operators with outstanding taxes should be issued notices as per regulations, and immediate recovery must be ensured. CMO Virendra Chakravarty emphasized the necessity of making the tax recovery process highly effective to boost the municipality's income and strengthen its financial standing.

Crackdown on Illegal Marriage Gardens and Sanitation Improvements

In addition to revenue recovery, the meeting also addressed improving the city's sanitation system and curbing illegal constructions. The CMO clarified that strict action, including sealing, will be taken against illegally operating marriage gardens.

This move is aimed at eliminating disorder within the city and ensuring compliance with regulations. Revenue Inspector Divya Yadav and Revenue Branch Head Sher Singh Baghel were also present at the meeting. It was decided that the department will regularly review recovery progress to meet set targets on time.

Moreover, extensive discussions were held on resolving sanitation issues arising from animal husbandry, particularly buffalo farming, in the city. Staff were instructed to take concrete and effective steps to upgrade the city's cleanliness system. The primary objective of this meeting was not only to accelerate revenue collection but also to provide citizens with a cleaner and better environment.

Assistant Revenue Inspectors and other staff members from the department were also present. The department will conduct regular reviews of recovery progress to ensure timely achievement of set goals.
