Medical Store Inspections Lead to License Cancellations in Bhind
Bhind City witnessed an unannounced inspection of over a dozen medical stores led by Drug Inspector Dr. Akanksha Garud. The inspection rigorously examined the physical verification of pharmacies, license display, presence of registered pharmacists, cleanliness of premises, and management of expired medicines.
Strict administrative action has been taken against firms that failed to comply with the established parameters. In a significant move, the licenses of Saurabh Traders and Swagat Traders have been immediately revoked. These firms are now completely prohibited from purchasing or selling any kind of medicines.
This decisive action was initiated due to irregularities in medicine sales and violations of prescribed regulations. The crackdown aims to ensure the availability of safe and quality medicines for patients and to educate medical store operators about the applicable rules.
Notice Issued to Ajay and Raghav Medical Stores
During the inspection, Ajay Medical Store and Raghav Medical Store were found to be lacking their designated registered pharmacists. In response to this lapse, the administration has issued show-cause notices to both establishments.
They have been asked to provide explanations for the absence of pharmacists and detail the steps they will take to prevent future occurrences. Furthermore, New Krishna Medical Store has been instructed to submit a comprehensive report of its medicine purchase and sales transactions within three days.
Failure to provide this information within the stipulated timeframe will result in further action against the firm as per regulations. All concerned firms have been warned to remain vigilant in the future.
Emphasis on Ensuring Availability of Safe Medicines
Drug Inspector Dr. Akanksha Garud emphasized that maintaining stock registers and appropriate temperature control for refrigerated medicines is mandatory for all medical stores. She reiterated that the sale of scheduled medicines without a registered physician's prescription is strictly forbidden.
The department will continue to take stringent departmental action against firms violating these rules in the future. The inspection team also examined other pharmacies, including Deep Medical Store, Balaji Medical Store, and New Bhagwan Medical Store, providing them with necessary guidance.
