'Government at Your Doorstep' Program Launched in Bhind
The 'Seva Setu' campaign, under the 'Government at Your Doorstep' program, has been grandly launched in Bhind city, Madhya Pradesh. The initiative aims to provide citizens with the benefits of government schemes and ensure quick resolution of their problems. Its core objective is to establish principles of good governance, transparency, and accountability among the masses.
Under this ambitious initiative, government officials will personally visit citizens' homes to address various issues, freeing them from the hassle of visiting government offices. The campaign was inaugurated in the presence of prominent figures including local Member of Parliament Sandhya Rai, District Collector Kirodi Lal Meena, Chief Executive Officer of the District Panchayat Veersingh Chauhan, Sub-Divisional Magistrate Mahendra Singh Saunjanya, Municipal Council President, and Chief Municipal Officer (CMO) Virendra Chakraborty, along with senior municipal officials and staff.
Elected representatives and administrative officers jointly assured citizens that they would no longer need to struggle for small or big tasks, as the entire administrative machinery will now reach their doorsteps to provide solutions.
Focus on Direct Benefit of Government Schemes to the Public
Chief Guest of the program, MP Sandhya Rai, lauded the initiative, stating that the core mantra of the central and state governments is good governance and reaching the last person in society. She emphasized that through the 'Seva Setu' campaign, the government and administration are coming to the citizens' doorsteps themselves.
The main objective is to ensure that the last person in the last row of society also receives the full benefit of government schemes without any hindrance.
MP Rai expressed confidence that this campaign will prove instrumental in further strengthening public trust.
Administrative Commitment to Swift and Transparent Resolution
District Collector Kirodi Lal Meena reiterated the administration's commitment, stating that the swift and transparent resolution of common citizens' problems is the highest priority for the government. He asserted that the true meaning of good governance lies in ensuring that ordinary citizens do not have to face difficulties in resolving their legitimate issues.
Collector Meena instructed officers and staff to work with sensitivity and full accountability, emphasizing that any form of negligence will not be tolerated.
Administrative Coordination and On-Spot Problem Resolution
Chief Executive Officer of the District Panchayat, Veersingh Chauhan, described the initiative as a powerful medium to bridge the gap between the public and the administration. He termed it a significant step towards establishing a transparent and accessible system.
Bhind's Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Mahendra Singh Saunjanya, stressed the importance of administrative coordination, stating that prompt resolution of public grievances is being ensured, and officials from all relevant departments are committed to providing solutions on the spot.
The Municipal Council President assured the city residents that the Municipal Council is always ready to address their basic needs. He explained that this campaign will eliminate the need for ward residents to repeatedly visit government offices for solutions related to mutation, pension, ration cards, sanitation, and drinking water.
Detailed Action Plan and Local Enthusiasm
Bhind Municipal Council Chief Municipal Officer, Virendra Chakraborty, presented the detailed action plan of the campaign. He informed that the entire municipal team and all officers are reaching out to various wards to organize camps.
These camps have special counters set up to address problems related to sanitation, drinking water, street lights, mutation, pension, ration cards, and construction. CMO Chakraborty emphasized that applications are being resolved on the spot with good governance and full accountability. The proactive and prompt response from the administrative staff has generated considerable enthusiasm among local residents.
They are hopeful that they will now be freed from the long waits at government offices for problem resolution. This initiative by the Bhind administration could potentially become an exemplary model for other regions in the future, marking a significant step towards bringing government services closer to the citizens.
